Step1: Prep and Cut

So if you have been using the D1 for any amount of time I feel you already know how important it is to clean your space vacuum out the old pieces that get dropped or left behind from the previous time also remove your magnets (yes I have forgotten this before and had errors and ruined material) once your space is clean place your material down, I use magnets on all four corners to hold it down and line the laser up with the edge. next you can load up the file I attached and cut out the pieces! Unfortunately Shelly had an accident and we are now using a new 20W head on our D1 which we have not named yet… If you have any suggestions leave them in the comments!

Step2: glue the sides togeather

Alright the two side pieces are to be glued together here the sides are in the bottom right and have a slot cut out in one of them and the other will be a flat rectangle now this is tricky I used a left over scrap to get the space just right for the lid and put the glue down then clamped it and removed the scrap (so that it does not get glued into there by accident) I found these amazing spring clamps with the rubber tips at dollar tree (one of my favorite places to get stuff for a practice so you don't spend a lot on a bunch of material)

Step3: the playing board

So now the line that is scored into the bottom is so that you can align the playing board with the bottom. place a fair amount of glue on the bottom of the playing board and align it to the line. Again I used the same spring clamps to hold it in place while the glue drys.

Step4: Sides and top

Now we that the glue has dried we place glue on the gap on the bottom of the sides and back piece and place them where they belong here I used a larger squeeze clamp that I picked up at harbor freight (great place for these low pressure clamps) and this will hold the sides in place for the back I used the Dollar tree spring clamps to hold them in place. When doing this step take extra care to make the sides strait I took the lid and placed it in the gap where it will latter go so that it held the top of the side in place while the bottom was held in place by the clamp. for the lid I took a small piece of scrap and glued it to the top bottom to give a handle.

After the glue dries here you are all set to play and when done you just place the pieces inside and slide the lid in.
