A puzzle made from 23 unique cat pieces in a pastel rainbow background.
I used the blue mat to hold the mdf sheet in place while inkjet printing with the printing module. The pen drawn frame (blue line) is optional but it is helpful for framing the next step to ensure the cutting is aligned with the image.
If you know of a way to inkjet print on a honeycomb base for this step, it would save you having to move your project and realign in the next laser cutting step.
Move the mdf sheet from the blue mat and setup on the prism base or honeycomb base. Secure with the magnetic pins or by other means to stop the printed piece from moving while cutting (the printed piece moved once for me when I didn't have it secured on the prism base so be warned).
(If you used the honeycomb base in step 1 and is ready for lasering without moving anything, you can probably skip this step)
Use the Mark tool in the app to match the corners of the pen-drawn box on the printed piece. Once you can see your Marked frame on the canvas in the app, selected ALL of the project pieces in the app (they should be grouped as a default) and move them on the canvas so that the Pen-drawn line (Blue line box) matches with the Marked frame.
If you are continuing in a multi-module processing mode, you can hit next to begin cutting.
When I did this, I actually had to change from Multi-module process mode to Flat-bed laser cutting mode because my machine didn't automatically detect my honeycomb base in Multi-module processing mode. In this case, because you're essentially starting your process again you'll have to hit the Output toggle in the Inkjet printing process for the machine to skip inkjet printing again. And finally, hit START to laser cut and cross your fingers that everything has aligned correctly.
Go to Canvas 2 “Baseboard”
Grab a new piece of mdf to cut out the baseboard.
Glue the puzzle frame to the baseboard and voila, you're done!
