![[Laser cut and engrave] Laser Engraved Black Metal Flask with Sailing Term Definition and Lighthouse](https://storage-us.atomm.com/resource/xart/result/101962/62719d9f-2790-4c57-b846-bdc9ad3100ff.png?x-oss-process=image/resize,w_1200,h_900,limit_0/interlace,1/format,webp/auto-orient,1)

This project was inspired by my need for a white elephant gift for my yacht club Christmas party, and inspired by an ETSY cutting board for sale, but I could make my own, so I created the image using it as inspiration.
This project was created with the help of two 3D printed jigs (both can be found using a Google search for X-tool Jigs on Yeggi, Cults3d, etc):
Step 1: Affix the jigs to the base of the laser by screwing them down, and place the flask template inside (NOT REQUIRED).
Step 2: Adjust focus and frame the image to ensure it is where you want it.
Step 3: Run the file using the BLUE Light to remove the outer coating.
Step 4: Run the file using the IR laser to polish the metal.
Step 5: Clean up any residue with a towel or rag.
