This was inspired by needing a white elephant gift for the yacht club Christmas party
It was made on the X-Tool F1-Ultra with a basic rocks glass purchased from a local restaurant supply store near me. It was sprayed with Brilliance Black Metal Laser Spray BLI101MBAS12 and then lasered with the rotary jig using a 3D printed alignment jig 10-8 from Laserworks LLC
Step 1: Clean the glass with Windex or another cleaner to remove all oils and debris
Step 2: Spray glass with a laser etching spray (Brilliance Black Metal Laser Spray was used), make a sample using your spray to test results with other sprays.
Step 3: Set up the rotary jig and mount the glass when dry.
Step 4: Modify the setting to reflect the diameter of the glass you are using and adjust focus.
Step 5: Frame the image to test the rotation and ensure that it will cover the area you wish it to be on.
Step 6: Run the file
Step 7: Clean off the glass with a dry towel/rag and follow up with Windex or other glass cleaner.
