Step1
I couldn't find quite what I was looking for, first a cane with a ribbon, but there were too many variables so I AI generated a cane and ribbon separately, so I could arrange them how I would like. I then added text and offsets so I could cut them out after engraving, the XCS corrugated default settings were close, I just had to adjust them to get the effects that I wanted. Now I will try other materials.
