We needed a coat hanger, I got some inspiration online and started crafting.
The design was created by AI. A few trial and error prompts gave me 4 different images of animals to work with. The design speaks for itself, our daughter loves it, and so do I :)
Import the images, the ones in the file are adjusted.
If importing other images, remove the tails while in vector mode.
Measure the area where you want to mount the coathanger.
Create a rectangle and set the desired length and width.
The animals will take up space above the rectangle, keep this in mind when adjusting settings.
Adjust the animals size and place them where you want.
Adjust the rounded corners as desired.
Select everything and copy/paste to a new canvas, it will make things easier later on when adjustments are required.
In the new canvas select everything and create an outline.
Make sure to check the design, I found an error near the giraf, shown in the second picture.
Remove the rectangle and any errors.
Measure the wholes in the wall, or just add holes and drill them later on :D
Add them to the design and hide any measurement lines.
Insert the oak board in the laser and set your design.
Make sure to double check those screwholes!
Fire up that laser!
Sand lightly on the engraving and use some tools to clean up the edges.

As the title suggests, mark and drill holes ;)
And enjoy that kids smile when mounting the coat hanger!
