Laser engraved tumbler with a Nightmare Before Christmas themed scene.
The green rectangle is used to align the design with the tumbler. This should be done with a piece of masking tape that covers an entire strip of the tumbler. These settings are as low as they can be. From experience, it's best to use one long piece of tape to go the entire height of the tumbler, and then a small piece of tape at the top and bottom so you have a double layer. This prevents the laser from burning through the tape as it changes directions.
** Make sure you're only outputting the rectangle engraving while aligning **
Once alignment is complete, remove the tape, turn off the rectangle, and then engrave the design. Ensure the design is aligned with the rectangle, so make sure you move both sets of the image during the alignment phase.
The tumbler I used is 235mm tall and 315 mm around the widest part. This is a standard 40oz tumbler.
The engraving should take a little under an hour with the settings I use. I do use the upgraded lens from Diode Designs, so I don't bend the tabs for the handle.
