A Connect It game where you try to get 4 tiles in a row sideways, up/down, or diagonal. The first to get a row of 4 wins! Made with cute little ducky and rabbit tokens.
Create two circles at 18mm and 16mm. Center these each other vertically and horizontally on each other. Make the outer circle a different color layer.
Select them both and use the Grid array tool to make 7 columns and 6 rows with 5x and 0y spacing
Create a rectangle 191x108 and center it to the circle array vertically and horizontally. Create 2 squares 14x9 and 2 squares 12x5.5. These 4 pieces will be the bottom of the board and support the piece holder. For the piece holder create another rectangle 161.5x11 (this is sideways and red in the picture, will be wider in the cut)
Unite the 5 rectangles that make up the main holder (blue in the pictures)
Make two circles at 50 and 21mm wide and center them vertically and horizontally. Subtract them from each other to make a donut. Add a rectangle that covers the bottom half. Select it and the donut and choose subtract to remove the bottom half of the donut. Add a rectangle that is 11 wide x 9 high and center it horizontally and align to the top. Subtract the rectangle from the donut half. Create copies of this so you have 4 feet total.
Notch Game Board for Feet and Create Inner Slats
Create a box 6 wide by 9 high and center it at the bottom foot side of the game board. Do the same on the other side. Subtract these from the board.
Create 10 rectangles 108 x 5. These will be slats in between the layers
Ungroup the circle grid array. Select just the color layer with the larger outer circle and move them off the board. These are your game pieces so change half of them to another color layer.
Select the game board with the remaining circles and subtract them. Duplicate the board, you'll need a font and a back
Now is the time to customize your board! Here are some options:
The 5mm wide slats go in between the two layers to hold them apart. Since it adds 5mm it's enough to let the tiles slide freely but not pass each other. If you use material thinner than 3mm you will need to make the slats thinner, too.
Now it's time for a game! Go for that 4 in a row of duckies
