Make beautiful Easter eggs easily - Only your imagination sets the limits after this guide.
If you just want to cut out the included egg, jump to step 10
Make an circle that is slightly taller than wide. Double click inside to change top and bottom, so it get a better egg shape.
Copy your egg and make the copy a bit smaller and align in the middle. Do not use “Outline” as it creates too many points, for this specific project.
Now do the same as in step one, and double click and change shape for your liking.
Make a small circle. Mine was 8mm. Copy it and make the copy 5mm.
Align them horisontal and vertical.
Select them both and Substract.
Now put the hole piece on to the egg, and then select ONLY the outer layer of the egg and the piece with hole and unite them
At this time I allways like to make a copy and put to the side, so I can use it for other designs and if I make a mistake later on.
Insert an SVG file of a bunny (or what else you want).
In this case I will change the inside layers bottom to fit with the bunny's egg, by double click inside it, as in steb 1 and 2.
Now you select the inner and outer layer of the egg, NOT the bunny, And substract them.
Then copy the egg.
Then select the egg with the bunny and the bunny and unite them.
You can now add the text on the piece without the bunny.
Add double sided tape to the walnut to make it easy when the pieces will be connected.
Now cut and engrave the piece with text on the walnut with the tape down.
Now cut the piece with the bunny on basswood
Remove the paper from the tape and put the two pieces together. Be careful for best results.
Enjoy your masterpiece
