Make sure the text overlaps the text-space, see image.
Select all and choose unite.

Choose your material and the correct settings for cutting your material.
Frame and cut the ornament.

Attach a piece of string or a ribbon, or whatever you like :)
Hang it in front of your window or decorate your Christmas tree.
