Step1: engraving / gravage
There's one image and a text to engrave: the image on the back of the brush and the text corresponding to the baby's name on the handle.
You'll have gathered from the baby kangaroo 's name and image that my 3rd grandson is going to be born in Australia!
The images have been cleaned up with the Xtool image editor, using the magic wand and eraser.

Il y a 1 image et un texte à graver : l’image sur le dos de la brosse et le texte qui correspond au nom du bébé une sur le manche.
Vous aurez compris, vu le prénom et l’image du bébé kangourou, que mon 3ème petit-fils va naitre en Australie !
Les images auront été nettoyées avec l'éditeur d'image du logiciel Xtool à l'aide de la baguette magique et de la gomme.

Once the engraving is complete, the woodcut should be brushed with a dry toothbrush to remove any ash left over from burning the wood.
