This is a design especially for upcycled pallet wood where the Xtool cuts out the outline of the shark, and allowing you to create a backlit wall light using battery powered LEDS. I posted a photo on social media and it was sold within an hour.
Simply seperate the wooden spars of the pallet, and select 2 or three at the lengthg you need. Sand, then glue together with woodglue and clamps.
Once the glue is cured, clean up the wood, sand again if need be and then place into the Xtool, using the settings above. You will likely need to use up to 8 or even 10 passes, slowly lowering the focus, and using air assist on full to prevent burning. I suggest placing thge wood on two pieces of scrap, one each end, so you can determine when the laser has passed fully through the wood.
Once complete, using a butane torch to carbonise the wood edged for effect, sand, stain and varnish / wax.
Then use some 3mm ply strips glued and screwed to thge rverse to ensure the pallet slats remain secured together, then add a slim length of wood, 5mm should suffice, runnung the full length of the top and bottom edges of the rear, and then use a glue gun to still the LEDs to the back, followed by a sawtooth attachment to allow hanging.
