simply run the engraving and cutting through, and repeat as designbed to attain the signage depth you desire, and lower the cutting focus and repeat until the wood is cut through.  I have the ait assist on full, and it tool 6 passes in total to cut through smoothy.  Then sand, stain and wax as desired, and add hooks as you wish.  I sold one last weekend to a gut who grew up on the same street at the Garrison in Birmingham, and who's great grandfather was a Peaky.  WOW.
