A paper airplane glider we made as kids. The template provides perforations for easy folding. Easy to make with superb performance. A pdf file is also provided you can print on a A4 paper and fold manually without laser cutting. I recommend using normal office paper as thicker paper may be difficult to fold properly.
Cut the template from a sheet of paper. The default size is just slightly smaller than standard A4 paper size.
You can scale the design to any size but keep the same ratio.
You should also download the provided pdf file with thick folding lines of unique colors. They will be referenced during folding process. The lines align once you progress with folding.
Folding pictures below are rotated 90 degrees so rotate the pdf file accordingly.
Assembly will be easier if you crease along a few lines.
Fold along the yellow and red lines.
Fold along the red line first.
Fold along the green line in the same direction.
The previous folds are on the top.
Fold along the blue lines.
Fold along the yellow lines.
You should get a conical shape as in the pictures.
Fold the tip inwards along the cyan line as in the picture.
Fold along the magenta lines.
First, fold the plane in half along the central line.
Second, fold out the wings.
Each fold outwards goes in the opposite direction.
Continue folding the wings along the black and gray lines changing directions as in previous step.
Use a piece of tape to glue the tip together. This will prevent the plane form opening up.
Adjust the wings so they look like in the final pictures at the top.
Next, throw it. It should fly a long time and far away.
