Use your plywood scraps, and create these tiny earrings.
Use my settings (for 10W M1 machine with riser base and smoke exhaust), or adjust it, and engrave/cut the design. You can play with the size - and make e.g. fridge magnets instead of stud earrings).
I am cleaning up my materials after engraving with a fine grip sandpaper. As you can see on the picture, it became lighter, and the painting on it will be much smoother.
Sand both front and back, and the sides as well.
Use fine-grip pen (I am using POSCA acrylic markers) to paint the details. For these pieces, I used white, green and gold - think it turned out great. You can use different colors (share your version at the comments please, I would love to see your version!)
Use a strong glue (I recommend to use something which is dries clear), and add the earrings studs to the back. Wait until it's completely dried.
You can add resin or varnish to secure your piece. Make sure you add it to the front and the back and the sides too. I like to add extra layer to the back to make sure that the stud will stay in place forever!
Add the back part of the earring settings, and you are done.
