Infused with the haunting beauty of the traditional ballad Scarborough Fair, this graceful wall piece brings lyrical charm to your kitchen. Featuring delicate motifs that echo the herbs sung in the refrain—parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme—it’s a tribute to both music and cooking. Designed to evoke warmth, nostalgia, and elegance, it’s perfect for those who find magic in melody and meaning in meals
Open the file in Xtool Studio. The images are set up to fit on a 10" X 10" piece of wood. I used a 9mm black frame ready for hanging. I have the settings to engrave deeply. I have a nice score line around the engraved letters to help it really pop. I used Microsoft Word to create my letters. I got the herb images from Google.
I have each set of images color-coded for ease of use. The black is engraved, the purple is engraved but in a deeper setting, the blue is scored.
To finish this piece I used Linseed Oil. I applied a good even coat and allowed it to soak in for 24 hours. I repeated this step 3 times total. The beauty of the wood gets better with each application.
