Materials Needed:
- 1/25” black acrylic sheet
- Bright orange spray paint
- Glossy polyurethane spray (clear)
- Earring hardware (hooks, jump rings, etc.) – a multipack from Michaels (~100 sets for about $10)
1. Gather Materials
- Collect all of the above before starting to ensure a smooth workflow.
2. Prepare the Acrylic
- Place the black acrylic on a protected surface.
- Spray 4–5 light coats of bright orange paint, letting each coat dry fully before the next.
- Light coats are key for a clean engrave.
- Make sure the paint is 100% dry and not tacky before moving on.
3. Engrave & Cut
- Load your earring design file into xTool Creative Space.
- Position and focus the laser on the prepared acrylic.
- Engrave and cut the pieces for each earring set.
4. Seal the Surface
- Take the finished pieces outdoors or to a well-ventilated space.
- Apply a light coat of clear glossy polyurethane spray to protect the painted surface.
- Allow to dry completely.
5. Assemble
- Use the earring hardware kit to attach hooks and jump rings.
- Tighten gently so pieces move freely without slipping off.
6. Gift or Sell
- Package as a fun, handmade gift—or stock up for your Halloween market booth.
- These earrings are lightweight, durable, and ready to delight anyone who loves Halloween style.
