Information

What started as a simple idea for a colourful acrylic sign quickly evolved into something more dynamic—a diode-lit display box designed to inspire and illuminate.

This project includes four interchangeable engraved faces, allowing you to switch messages to suit your mood, space, or occasion. Whether you're gifting it or mounting it on your wall (yes, there are screw holes!), it’s designed to be both functional and expressive.

To bring it to life, apart from your laser machine you’ll need:

A light source (I used a diode)
A power supply (9V battery works great)
A switch (optional, but handy)

I’ve kept things simple and accessible, with step-by-step photo instructions and links to components I used—so you can recreate or customize it with ease.

Whether you're a maker, a gift-giver, or just someone who loves combining light and message, this project is a great way to start.
