This is an Entry for the #HelloFall Week on the Creator Spark Competition The concept of this made me chuckle, and I knew there would be like minded people (like myself) that need a funny 80's/90's themed Halloween / Fall Season Hoodie, Tote Bag this season. What's Included; The Full Design - Feel Free to put your spin on it with your own wording etc.. XCS Settings Included - This can be Engraved Too! PDF Tutorial for Sublimation or DTF Have fun with this one Flowerpots! Emma @FrenchieFirm
We will begin by loading in the Image of the design into XCS.
Now add any Personalisation or Wording you want to print as well.
Resize the design to fit you project.
If you are using sublimation/DTF you will need to Turn On your heat press as they take some time to warm up.
180c for regular sublimation for 60 seconds
165c for DTF and for 10-20 Seconds depending on your press
Gather your pressing materials; Teflon, Butcher Paper and some Re positional Spray Glue (only for Sublimation)
So depending on if your lucky enough to have a XTool Apparel DTF Machine you will send the design to print, the XTool Apparel Machine will automatically powder the design, you just need to place it in the integrated Shaker Oven to Cure.
For regular sublimation you will export the design from XCS to your Program (mine is Affinity) and bring the design in. Add my personalisation/Wording and then send to print on my ET15000 Sublimation Printer.
Your Heat Press should be upto temperature now….
For sublimation you will need to remove the moist from you garment first.
You do the by laying the garment on the heat press plate, place the butcher paper over your garment and the Teflon paper over the butcher paper then press for 10-15 seconds - this removes any moisture from the garment and makes the area nice and flat to apply your design.
For DTF you still need to do this with you garment for exactly the same reason.
Sublimation; Apply the Re positional spray to the image, then position on the garment. Lay the butcher paper on top and the Teflon sheet over that then press at medium/firm pressure (8/9 for my press) for 60 seconds.
DTF: Lay the image onto the garment ready to press. Lay butcher paper on top of the DTF image and then Teflon sheet over that. Then Medium to Firm pressure and press for 10-20 seconds.
Additional Step for DTF is to remove the Film Backing and then replace the Butcher Paper and Teflon and RE-PRESS for 10-15 Seconds.
The time may vary depending on your press Brand and Size.
Remove from the Press and Allow To Cool down.
