Coffee capsule storage

As I said, I used 3mm and 2mm materials. The black material is 3mm laminated MDF and the beech strips are 2mm which are already factory painted. You can change the thickness in the design. I used thread tape, a similar material from large coffee bags. In addition, I had wood glue, double-sided adhesive tape, and black paint.
 

First I painted the coffee beans (the handle of the lid)
I glued double-sided tape like in picture 3 to keep the thread binding in place, then glued and arranged small slats around it.
When I got to the last slat, I wrapped it around with a string tie and glued it to the last slat. (I was looking to roughly measure how much I needed for the circumference of the box)
Then slowly, I fitted the first two starting slats and then the rest with the upper ring of the box.

For the lid, I also cut two pieces of thread tape and stuck double-sided tape on it, placing it on the bottom part of the lid that will go into the box. 
Then I circled and cut off the excess thread around the bottom of the lid.
Once everything was properly secured and filled the gaps, I then took a handle (a coffee bean) and threaded it through the top part as you can see in the picture.
It was intentionally left longer so that it would go through the bottom part of the lid and would be a guide when I put the two parts of the lid together so they would be aligned.

Recommendation: make sure to assemble and check each step before gluing.
