This laser alignment jig locks the honeycomb base securely in place and provides a true zero-zero reference point. It eliminates shifting, ensures consistent accuracy, and makes repeat work quick and effortless.
decide if you would like the ruler on the sides engraved or scored(I went for engraved). drew each tic a diff color so if one only wants half or 1 inch marks its easy to select the color and shut off output to that color.
use what magnets you can get your hands on. if i had some 10 or 12mm i would of used them. the 6mm work but its almost like they are not there.
for the alignment jig its a simple glue up like a box. the spacers are a stack and glue.
i glued the magnets in last using a piece of packing tape on the bottom to hold the magnet flush to the backside. added some glue from the top.
pic shows where the laser zeros and the box that was scored is a 1 x 1box that is in the grey area above the framing area.
