Teacher's Gift

Step 1) For this project we need a little flower, this flower is from the shapes list right within XCS software. once the flower has been selected it is placed on the work area. Then a oval large enough to surround the flower is created with the insert button on the left side. This is sized and the flower then is centered. This project is a message to a Teacher as a gift. So in saying that lettering is added. Once the top wording is placed and the font is selected, the curve feature is use to follow the arc of the oval. Then the same is done for the bottom words and the curve also follows the oval in the opposite way.

Step 2) Now everything is ready but for aiding in alignment the center flower and wording are copy and pasted. these are put to the side. The original flower ad wording are set to be scored in place. This then allows for easy placement of the other pieces when gluing. The second group is then set to be cut and once they are the individual pieces are glued to the scored lines.

Step 3) Now the project is ready for the laser machine, once the machine has finished scoring and cutting we are left will a bunch of bits. This looks like a mess but because the scoring lines were done it makes for easy gluing and alignment. Then once everything is glued in place the paint pens are used to add color. This will be a gift for a very special person that happens to be a great Teacher hope she likes it.
