Step 1) For this project we start with an oval to make the body of the chickadee, then a circle is added for the head. Next is a triangle that is resized to create the beak. And finally a long narrow rectangle that has the corners rounded off with the radius feature.

Step 2) Now we have most of the pieces made. It is now we copy and paste just the beak to create a second one. Once that is done then we highlight everything and with the combine feature we unite it all. this leaves the newly created chickadee. Only thing now is to add an eye, this is done with a small circle. it is placed right where an eye would be and is set to engrave light the inside of the beal has been set.

Step 3) Now is the chance to make several chickadee's, one for each person of the family or a whole bunch for family and friends. This is done with the array option, for this project I selected to make 4. Once the 4 are made the settings are adjusted and a name for each is added. I make one name and pick a font and place it on the body of the chickadee then i copy and paste and just edit the name for the next one so on until they all have a name. Then it is off to the laser machine. 

Step 4) Now the machine has done it's part the little chickadee's are almost ready. All that is need is to apply the 2 sided tape on the back side so they can be displayed all over the place for the big holiday.
