This is and always has been my ethos in my Designing Side Hustle..... It has always been about showing people, your never too old or too late to learn a New Skill to channel your inner artist. My career started very differently in the shape of training and qualifying as a Pharmacy Technician. However whilst I was 6 months pregnant I was involved in a car accident, which changed my life forever! After recovery I tried to return to my physically depending job and I couldn't. I felt lost and my life was spiraling out of control from everything that was dependable. In my job I managed a specialised unit making chemotherapy for a busy Cancer Treatment Centre, Training staff and lots more.... I loved this job and it made me feel complete (as a natural helper/fixer). My partner and son knew I was struggling to cope with having no clear avenue of what to do.....they purchased a Cricut Machine (Plotter) and this is where everything started. Within a year I was sublimating with a big setup and then within 2 years I was designing and drawing my own artwork. I have always been open to mentoring anyone wanting to learn, and I am proof to never give up there is a way to earn a living whilst having a physical disability. This was where Learn, Create and Inspire came from - because that's exactly what I did and try to show people you CAN do the same....... This design was created in Almake and slightly edited by myself. What's Inlcuded; XCS Design PNG Design (For Affinity, Photoshop or similar programs) Tutorial Included I hope this grabs you some sales with Well Being, Self Improvement and Being Never Too Old to Learn New Things.... Enjoy my XTool Crafty Family @FrenchieFirm
So to create the design I used Almake, selected typography and Floral Text. Typed in my Ethos and let it design and do it's thing…….
Bring the design into your chosen program as a PNG im using Affinity.
So if your lucky enough to have the XTool Apparel Printer you would be using the XCS File.
Your setup should automatically (Flip) print the image backwards if using another program. The XTool Apparel DTF will print the correct way around.
You will need to allow your sublimation printer paper to dry for a few minutes after printing.
For XTool Apparel your will need to apply your powder and then pop in the shaker oven.
We can now get ready to press the image onto the material.
Firstly we are going to remove the moisture from the material by laying your material down, lay a sheet of baking paper over your material and then your teflon sheet.
This is called a “ PRE PRESS ” for 20 Seconds
Next we are going to spray some re-positional spray on the Sublimation Paper, then place and line up your design on the material.
(this step isn't required for the XTool Apparel Printer)
Replace the baking paper over the top of your design and then the teflon sheet over the baking paper.
Then we are going to use a Medium / Firm Pressure 7-9
at 180c for 60 Seconds
Once 60 seconds has passed remove the teflon sheet, baking paper and the sublimation paper. Then place your material on the side to natural cool down.
