A business card storage or display box. Perfect for school and office. Designed with a flexible element. The model has space for custom engraving in the front as well. See the pictures of the final assembly to determine where you should engrave.
In addition to laser cut parts you will also require two 2mm diameter pins. The minimum length required is 6mm. You can also use a single very long pin.
My toothpicks are just the right diameter to use for this.
Start assembling the card holder.
See the picture of how the two side parts should be placed. Do not forget to add the middle bracket as in the picture. It is the shorter one.
Bend the flexible center part around the side parts as shown in the picture. I suggest you use clamps or tape to hold everything tightly together as the glue dries.
Assemble the cover as shown in the pictures.
Add the two side brackets to the larger center parts. Then add the back support. Make sure everything is pressed well together.
Join the two parts together, orienting them as in the picture. The small holes in the sides must align.
Add the 2mm pins in to the small side holes. Make sure they don't fall in to the holder as you won't be able to remove them.
Slowly press them in, until they are flush with the side cover. Then, I add a blob of glue and spread it around. It will hold well enough.
Once the glue dries you can add your business cards.
