This handcrafted wooden candy dish was designed with Halloween fun in mind. Shaped like a festive pumpkin and engraved with playful details, it’s perfect for holding treats at parties, on your table, or by the door for trick-or-treaters. Made from laser-cut wood with a layered design, it combines rustic charm with spooky flair. Created to celebrate the season, this piece was made to bring a little handcrafted warmth and personality to Halloween traditions.
Lay one end flat with the engraving facing inward.
Apply a Thin line od Superglue next to the bottom notches.
Insert slats and the bottom piece 1 at a time.
the two curved braces engraved with “Trick or Treat” and “Happy Halloween”.
Glue them across the top, locking into the slots on each pumpkin end.
These add strength and give the dish a finished look.
glue the handle to the one side before adding the second face.
add a line of glue on the second one engraved facing inward.(should look like pic at this time…)
If desired, apply orange wood stain or paint to the outside pumpkin face.
Let dry before attaching overlays.
Paint or stain the outside cutout. I did matte black so it would not be shiny.
Position the black pumpkin cutout overlays (with Cut out design).
Apply glue carefully around the edges and press onto the stained pumpkin face.
Ensure alignment before the glue sets.
I would suggest painting and staining before cutting. pictured was a test cut to make sure it was sized right. so i stained and painted after. the 2nd one i made(need to get good finished pics) i pre-stained before cutting and like it a lot more. as the outside slats are orange also but the inside is unstained. if prestaining i cut the orange pieces face down. that way it can be engraved at the same time. then i cut the Matte black side face up. i have not tested clear coating then engraving. but i plan to next time i am near the machine.
This handcrafted Halloween candy dish is perfect for more than just holding sweets. Its festive pumpkin design makes it a versatile seasonal piece that fits into many spaces:
