When I have my coffee and my hands full it's nice to have a shelf by the door to put my cup while unlocking the door. This shelf could also be a nick knack shelf. The shelf comes with the spider web support or a scalloped support for more options.
Before cutting out your pieces, choose either the scalloped or spiderweb support bracket. Set the one you don't want to ignore. Also, if you would like the top cut out of a nicer piece of wood, set that to ignore.
After cutting out your pieces, choose the backing plate, which is the smallest half-round piece, and glue your support bracket to that with CA or wood glue. If you want your support bracket to be a different color, such as making the spiderweb white, paint everything separately prior to gluing.
Attach the top shelf support to the piece you just assembled by adding a bead of glue along top of the backing plate and whichever support piece you chose.
Next, attach the larger half round shelf to the top shelf support, lining up the back of it with the back of the top shelf support to leave a decorative edge.
Paint center support bracket, backing plate, and shelf support. Stain shelf if desired.
