I just received the new 2-tone acrylic from Xtool and wanted to experiment. I have a friend who felt guilty for buying a new car and her birthday is this month so this is for her garage when she pulls in to park. I had to use one piece (the sacrifice piece) for testing and I learned a lot!
I thought all of the settings on my test piece turned out decent but there was a slight ghosting effect at speeds less than 350. I am not sure why I picked 15 for power but the material was thin and I didn't want to burn the house down.
First cutting result worked great at 40/28/1 but I ended up having issues with it not cutting all the way through at 28 speed in one test. I used 40/25/1 for this project and it worked.
Be sure to take off the protective coating first!!!!!!
My sacrifice piece took 45 minutes to process because my objects were grouped. I combined them and then it took 31 minutes. My XCS file provides tabs so you can use the group tab to change the words and fonts for whatever you want to make but “combining” saves time.
