Instructions for Making a Box (350 × 150 × 75 mm) on xTool S1 10W
1. Working Area
Maximum working area of xTool S1 (10W): 498 × 319 mm.
Before starting, you must plan the layout of the parts so that they fit within this working area.
If all parts do not fit at once, cut them in multiple steps (separate cutting jobs).
2. Material
Recommended material: 3 mm birch or poplar plywood.
Material size: according to the machine’s maximum working area – ideally 500 × 320 mm.
Secure the material firmly so it does not move during cutting.
3. Settings in xTool Creative Space
Cut:
Power: 100 %
Speed: 4 mm/s
Passes: 1
Lower the focus: Enabled (–2 mm)
Tab generation: optional (can be used to keep small parts attached during cutting)
4. Process
Arrange the box parts in the software (lid, bottom, long sides, short sides).
Check if the layout fits within the 498 × 319 mm working area.
If yes → cut all parts at once.
If not → divide the project and cut in multiple steps (e.g., first long sides, then lid and short sides).
Use Framing to check the position on the material.
Start the job by pressing Process.
5. Assembly
After cutting, carefully remove all parts.
Sand edges lightly if needed.
Assemble the box: connect the sides first, then the bottom, and finally the lid.
For extra strength, apply wood glue to the joints.
👉 Key point: Always plan the cutting job according to the maximum machine working area (498 × 319 mm) – either all at once or in multiple runs.
