I created this remote holder to mount on the pole to my studio lights so that I stop losing my remote. It is made with 1/8" [3mm] pine plywood for the holder and 1/4" [6mm] plywood for the bracket for durability.
After cutting out the 3mm parts for the remote holder glue them up with CA glue or wood glue.
Once you have your bracket cut out, you will glue the rectangular piece to the first bracket piece, even with the flat portion near the tab. The next step is to glue on a piece of cardboard spacer, I used part of a cereal box, so you can get the curved piece in after it is mounted to the holder. next put glue on the portion that will contact the holder and the side of the tab toward cardboard. The next step is to put this part into the slot on the holder. Then add glue up the last piece and into the holder.
At this point I would paint or stain the whole piece. Once that is done screw one of the #8x3/4" screws in to hold the two pieces together. Then put the bracket on your light pole and put in the last screw.
