Step 1) This project starts out with an image of a ball from the shapes catalog, this ball is then outlined with a very thin off set so it will be almost exactly the same size. The outline is set to be cut and also copy and pasted in order to make the body of the turtle. The outline is centered to the ball so it is the same all the way around. The ball once engraved will act as the shell of the little turtle.

Step 2) Now that we have the shell looked after for the little turtle now we will create the body with his little head, feet and little tail. This is done by creating a circle with the insert button, it is place over lapping the main circle. Then small ovals are made, these are placed on a slight angle representing the feet. All 4 feet are needed 2 on each side so the reflect button is used to flip 2 of them over. Then last but not least the little tiny tail. This too is created with a small oval and placed where the tail would be. Now the entire body with all the parts are high lighted and the combine feature is used to unite them all together creating the little guy's body.

Step 3) Now the little guy only need his eyes, once again very small ovals are placed where the eyes would be and are set to be engraved. Then it is off to the laser machine. The assembly for the turtle is simple once all the pieces are cut and engraved the walnut is glued to the birch to represent the shell of the little guy. Now he can sit on  a desk and bting good luck to anyone near him.
