Information

This file will help you create a leather holster for the Indiana Jones Costume

If you are using a P2 you can use any leather you like, as long as its 2.5mm thick (5oz Leather)
If you are using another machine you will want to use Veg-Tan Leather only same thickness.

Some basic leather knowledge is needed.
You will need one sam brown button or stud. Sewing needles and thread.

Instruction

Step1: Selecting Leather

So I recommend a 4-5oz leather (2-2.5mm thick). If you are using a chrome tan leather you will need the P2. If you are using another machine you will need 4-5 oz Veg-Tan leather and you will need to dye it the color of your choosing.

Place leather in machine and cut away!

Step2: Assembly

Lets start out by the easiest part. Attach your sam brown button stud to the hole on the top of the holster.

Now take the belt loop section and line up your holes to the back of the holster. Stitch your belt loop to the holster using a saddle stitch.

Now take the small securing strap and line it up to the back of the holster and stitch it together using a saddle stitch.

Now fold your holster together like a taco and line up the edge. Start at the bottom and do a saddle stitch all the way up. Or if you prefer to go down you can do it that way as well.

Step3: Finish up

At this point you are done, you can now fold down the front flap and secure the sam brown to the securing strap.

If you want to get really fancy you can bevel and burnish your edges.

Have fun!
