What the heck is a niddy-noddy you ask? Good question! According to my daughter, it's a device that fiber-craft people use to steam their hand-spun yarn. This project is a fun take on the niddy-noddy, giving you a pair of mighty swords with which you can slay any yarn steaming dragon! The assembled niddy-noddy is 14" long. WARNING: Not for use in actual dragon slaying.
This project was designed for 3mm Basswood Plywood. The slots at the sword tips (where they are pieced together) are 3mm in width, so you may need to adjust your kerf offset if you want a tighter fit.
Simply slot the ends together to assemble your niddy-noddy. Wrap your hand-spun yard around the handles, and using your mystical yarn-spinning-fiber-craft arts, steam your yarn as appropriate.
Note: Apparently yarn spinners do not actually have magical powers, and just use plain ol' steam, like from a boiling pot of water or something.
