Information

This file will help you create a set of accurate leather key fobs that are used for the Ghostbusters Costume.

You will need some hard ware.
2 - 3/4" Trigger Snaps
2 - 3/4" D-Rings
5 - Line 24 Snaps
2 - 1 1/4" Split Key Rings

Now you can make you're own or create sets for other cosplayers.
If using a F1 you will need the slide extension.

Instruction

1

Step1: Selecting your Leather

I recommend using 2.5mm thick (5 oz Leather). Oil and Dye your leather black on both sides. Let dry.

If using a P2 you can use a pre-dyed black utility hide, such as a stone oil, or crazy horse.

2

Step2: Cut your leather

Place a leather piece big enough for the project. And cut out your pieces.

3

Step3: Hardware Time

Now take one of the longest straps you have. You will noticed that the round end has one hole.

Place your line 24 snap head there, and set your snap using the female end of the snap to the head.

Now take the other end with the two holes and slide your D-Ring between the holes. Fold the leather so the holes line up. Put your back end of your snap through the hole and set with the male end of the line 24 snap, securing the D-Ring between the leather loop you just created. Do this 2 times!

Now take your other long strap and repeat the snap instruction you just did, only this time you will insert one of your trigger snaps in the area you once did the D-Ring.

Now take your other long strap and repeat the snap instruction you just did, only this time

you will insert one of your 1 ¼" Split Key rIngs in the area you once did for the D-Rings and Trigger Snap.

Finally take your smallest strap, you will set the snap head on the end with the round end just as before. Then you will take your last split key ring and slide it in between the other holes. Fold your leather in half and line up the two holes, set your back end of the snap like you did the others. Then slide your last trigger snap over the top end (rounded end) of your leather strap.

Fold all your leather straps, and snap the top to the back ends. Take the shortest strap one you just did and clip it to the bottom of one of the D-Ring Fobs.

You are all done!!
