This will help you create a leather card wallet that resembles a vintage tape cassette. You will need some 3oz (1.5mm thick) Leather Leather sewing thread, stitching needles. You can do this without a slide extension table but it is easier with it.
First you will need to figure out what leather or leatherette material you will use. You could also use a material that is similar in thickness. I recommend using a material no thicker than 1.5mm. If you use thicker material it could make the wallet too thick and too snug for cards to fit properly.
I used a slide extension but you could do them in a F1 without it but you will need to cut each section twice.
Start by stitching the middle section to the back section first. It is the long rounded end section.
Do this to both sides of the wallet.
Now take the small accent piece and stitch to the top going through all layers.
Do this to both sides of the wallet.
Now take both sides of the wallet and start at one end and stitch all the way around using a saddle stitch.
At this point you are done and can start using your wallet right away. If you used a slightly thicker material you might need to wet your wallet and use some old cards to put in your wallet to shape and stretch your wallet.
You can also put it back in your machine and engrave your name or title to the tapes label section.
If you are a experienced leather crafter I would recommend doing your edge work before use.
Enjoy!
