Information
I have always wanted to try this game with my son and I finally got around to making it. This is a tactical game where you try to block and parry your way to victory.

Step1: Set up your design and cut your design

I had to look at how these were made and make my own design. I could not find any laser cut files out there so I thought this design would work and that way I can share it with everyone.  I created the arms and legs as boxes. In this design you will see how that plays into the design later. There are various parts that need to be laminated for either strength or just over all design.  After you got it all cut out. Tip: put painters tape over the small pieces to keep the from falling in.

Step2: Assemble arms and legs

This is by far the most tedious part of this design. They are just mini boxes with no top or bottom but you will just want to super glue them together and let them dry. If you want to complete it quicker you can use accelerator for the super glue.

Step3: Assemble the bodies

You will need to laminate the body by putting the the 2 cut pieces in the middle. This allows for the string to pass through where the arms will be. In the end it should look like the picture. Also laminate the shoulders together crotch piece. once those are done you will glue them to the body. The crotch piece will be in the middle perpendicular to the body. The shoulders you will put on the top with the cutout hanging where the back will be. This is so the balloon can be held.

Step4: Assemble the shield and "sword"

you will want to glue these in place at the end of the dowels. The hole for the toothpick should be just big enough to fit a toothpick in snuggly but if you feel the need you can either use a needle or glue it in place. With my experience, the toothpicks do break so it would be good not to glue them so you do not have an issue with that.

Step5: Glue the base together.

You will want to make sure that the base holes are lined up because they are not the same on both ends. You will want to glue them together to give a more sturdy base.

Step6: Assemble the warriors
Preview

In the video you will see that run the string through the body and 4 arm pieces and once I have it the right length and the piece can move freely you will want to start by hot gluing one end.  Then you hot glue the other. You can snip of the excess.

For the legs you will run them through the center crotch piece and then put the 2 boxes on each side. Once you have put them together run them through the base and make them the right length. Hot glue them to the bottom of the base and snip off the excess. You will do this process for each warrior. The video should explain but if you have any issues contact me.

Step7: Add the sword and shield

As if I was the fighter I glued the sword to the left hand on the outside. This is important as it allows for the movement. The shield on the outside of the right hand as seen in the pictures.

Step8: Add the balloons

Water balloons work best for this but I could not find any so I had to use regular balloons. You will want to put them on the warrior with the knot through the circle and below the wood piece..

Step9: Fight

With these warriors you can have fun and play. My kid most definitely enjoyed this project.
