This project shows how to turn a LEGO®-style brick into a personalized keychain using laser engraving. It's a quick and fun way to create custom gifts for kids, friends, or party giveaways. The engraved name stands out thanks to a clean contrast effect on ABS plastic – and the whole project takes just a few minutes. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this project. This design uses original or compatible plastic building blocks solely as a crafting base. The focus of this project is on personalization through laser engraving, not on the distribution of LEGO® products.
Choose the file according to the colour you want to engrave (or edit the parameters afterwards).
Choose the 3 or 5-Stud sheet in the file and add the name (max. ~3–12 characters, depending on the Brick size and font) you like and place it in the area defined in the file.
Place the brick centered in your F1, if you need any help with that here it is: Laser cut and engrave | Centering Jig for xTool F1 | Free Files - Atomm. Clean the surface with a cloth before engraving (if you use used or dirty blocks).
Use the settings according to your color and start engraving. I have added some Images of test engravings.
Insert the keyring through the outer hole. Done! You now have a clean and durable keychain with a personalized name. Be carefull not to scratch the brick
