Instruction
Step1: Load The File
Open the project file in your xTool Creative Space software. Choose three types of wood that offer strong visual contrast—this will enhance the dimensional look of the owl and bring the layered design to life.
Step2: Cut Each Layer
You’ll be cutting the project in the following order:
- Back Plate
- First Layer + Frame
- Second Layer
- Third (Top) Layer
Cut each layer individually and set the pieces aside carefully to keep them organized.
Step3: Clean Before Assembly
Wipe down all pieces to remove any residue or soot. Be sure your laser tray is clean before cutting the final layer—some small interior cuts from Layer 3 are used as part of the finished top layer.
Step4: Assemble with Precision
Using a strong adhesive like CA glue, begin assembling the layers in order. Refer to the provided reference photos for alignment and placement to ensure the owl’s features are properly stacked and centered.
Step5: Seal Your Work and Enjoy!
Once fully assembled and dry, finish your piece with a spray polyurethane or your preferred clear varnish to protect the wood and enhance the grain.
