I made this for a booth I am going to have at a car show. Cars are not actually my thing but since cars are the theme I am going to have about ten items related to cars and Route 66.
Total cut time took 31 minutes.
I use Sherwin Williams paint and purchase the quart paint samples for around $9.00 each. I used red, white, black and orange for this project. I applied two coats to each piece using a small roller for the base piece and sponge pieces for the cutouts. It dries quickly.
Starbond Thick from Amazon is my go to glue. I glued the pieces to the base and then finished off the project with a coat of Rustoleum 2Xs clearcoat.
