This jig for a total of 10 aluminium cards can be used to perfectly place the cards for engraving.
First the template needs to be placed on a pievce of wood on your laser plane. If the wood fits perfectly, that is great. If not, I would advise to paint a simple rectangle around the template to cut a nice small template without much waste. Enable all cut outs and adjust laser settings in accordance to your laser and material. The horizontal lines are just for reference and can be left disenabled.
Cut out the complete template.
Last but not least I fixed the cut out template to a thick and heavy piece of wood. This prevents slip. In my case the piece of wood is a little wider than the template to enable good fixation to the laser honey combe. I simply stapled it to the wood, but glueing is also a good choice. When glueing, it is important not to spill glue to the places where the cards should be placed later as this can prevent perfect positioning.
