Bigfoot with trees, mountains and a mirror in the back. 5 layers. just to see if I could. Turned out ok
Each of the 5 pieces and the base are on different layers. if your using an F1, click on each layer and ignore the ones your not cutting out. Then move them on to the cutting area as your ready for them. Because the F1 cuts and an angle the further from center that you cut, the 4th layer took a little work to make the 4 inch mirror fit snugly. I used a small wood file to get the right fit. The base also has 2 layers. I separated the cut and engrave layers so you can see them. stack the engrave layer on the cut layer and run in 1 pass.
After cutting out the layers, I laid them out and used a 2" foam brush and Furniture Clinic Natural Oak Stain. Applied the stain and waited about 3 minutes and wiped off the excess stain. Once dried I started with the back layer and used a small amount of supper glue around the edged and stacked each layer. Glued the 2 pieces of the base together and put it together. If I were to make this again I think I would make the rectangle piece that goes into the base smaller, Not as wide. I'm learning. This was a fun little project.
