🛠️ Laser Cutting & Engraving Instructions (xTool S1 – 20W, 3mm Plywood, A4)
Material: 3 mm plywood
Sheet size: A4 (210 × 297 mm)
Laser: xTool S1 – 20W
Air Assist: Auto mode (stronger airflow during cutting)
✂️ Cut Settings:
Power: 95%
Speed: 6 mm/s
Passes: 1–2 (depending on material and condition)
Mode: Cut
Air Assist: ON (auto high for cutting)
🔍 Engrave Settings:
Power: 60–80% (based on desired depth)
Speed: 200–250 mm/s
Lines per cm (LPI): 100–220
100 = faster, lower detail
220 = slower, higher detail
Mode: Fill or Line (as needed)
Air Assist: OFF (auto handles it)
✅ Additional Tips:
For repeatable alignment, I use a 3D-printed corner jig.
Engrave before cutting for best registration.
Use masking paper/tape to reduce scorch marks.
Make sure the plywood is flat and well secured.
Always run a test on scrap if unsure.
