Learn how to make an aged look - on these cute retro earrings
My settings are tied for 10W M1 with honeycomb riser. You can adjust, if you want lighter lines, or just score instead of engraving.
I am using acrylic markers for this step - white, gold and black in this case. This design is pretty simple, so the possibilities are endless.
My favorite ones are Posca markers - you need to paint one coat only for perfect look. (but we will sand it in a minute, so in this case - it doesn't need to be perfect at all :) )
Use a light grip sandpaper, and sand the edges first (to see how it works, and how much grain it takes off). Then you can sand a bit on the painted top. Do not go too far - just a small bit first, to see if you like it, or want more.
On the second picture you can see my before-after look - I was happy with the results. :)
You can add matte coating, if you want to make it more durable - I think glossy one would ruin it
For this aged look I used antique bronze colored earrings settings to match with the design.
Ready to wear. :)
