This is an engraved green champagne glass completed for an engagement gift.
The glass was sprayed with Montana chalk spray. I love that the chalk spray dries quickly, but I wear latex gloves when spraying, transporting, and placing my materials because it is messy. Before spraying, I got a diameter measurement of the entire glass to aide in measuring my design and setting the measurement for the chuck.
After the glass dries, place with the base end in the RA2 pro using the chuck. Ensure that the rim of the glass (where you want the engraving to be) is placed directly under the laser dots to ensure accurate focusing of the laser.
Create your design in your favorite design software or in xcs. Line up the text so that it will engrave on directly opposing sides using your diameter measure that was taken prior to spraying the glass. Enter in the diameter of the glass in xcs and refresh the background to line it up evenly on the glass. Always do several framing tests first to ensure that the placement is correct and that the glass rotates in the chuck correctly. If the glass does not rotate correctly, usually it is not seated properly.
Engrave.
This was a beginner level project, but created a great engagement gift!
