A couple I am close to got married during the pandemic in an outdoor, casual ceremony. Their birthday was coming up (within 3 days of each other) and I wanted to give them a happy memory of that day. You can, of course, use the file I included to add your own pictures (directions below) to make one for someone in your life.
Open the file, then import the photos you want to include.
Use the squares I have set up to make the sizes consistent. When you select a square and your photo, you can click the Create Mask button at the top to adjust the size and positioning of your photo to make it fit on each side. Click done.
Center the photo on the appropriate side of the cube.
Adjust the photo settings to make it easier for the algorithm to create a good engraving. I do this by changing the grayscale to a narrower area (lowering the top end), increasing brightness and contrast. Play around with this a bit along with the laser preview to see how the engrave setting will interpret the image.
Make sure the laser settings are appropriate for your machine, then cut (always keeping safety as your priority).
Use wood glue to attach all of the pieces together. Tape should be used to keep the sides together while the glue dries.
Enjoy!
