Made some animal stir sticks, these can be used over and over or one time use. Many different animals can be used. The squirrel is my fav.
Step 1) This project starts with creating a rectangle the size of the material that will be used. This allows to design the project with the proper sizing. The rectangle will be deleted once a size is set.
Once we know approx size we start with a narrow rectangle created with the insert button. this is set to the size to fit within the other rectangle. Now a paddle of sorts is made, this is done again with the insert button bit this time a circle is used. An oval shape is created and is placed at the bottom of the narrow rectangle. The combine feature is used to unite the 2 pieces together.
Step 2) Now for the animal, it is taken from the shapes list this happens to be a squirrel. This squirrel is broken and the outline only is moved to the narrow rectangle from earlier. This is again united to the rectangle with the combine feature. Now that the main stir stick shape is created the inside portion of the squirrel is moved into and on top of the rest. This part of the squirrel will only be scored.
Step 3) Now we have the size set so the first rectangle we created is no longer needed so it can be deleted or removed. So we have one side of the stir stick set, if both sides want the scoring of the squirrel then the entire stir stick is copy and pasted but one side is flipped by using the reflect button. So you are basically doing 2 stir sticks at the same time one right and one left. then when complete they are flipped over and moved to opposite sides. once they are in place the second run the cut lines layer is set to ignore and only the scoring is done.
Step 4) Now a clear coating is put on the stir sticks and once dry they are ready to start stirring. Sure these can be fun to use once or many times, other animals can be made if someone like different animals just make them the same way with different animals for the top.
