Information
Getting a file and cutting it is only the beginning of a creative process. We should all challenge ourselves to create more from something basic. For this project I purchased a file on Etsy and just continued to add to it.

Choose a file, cut it. Seems simple right? Well, I actually added the "Merry Christmas" at the bottom of the cut out. That wording needs to be in a stencil format and only needs to be added on the 1st or front page.

The image was purchased as a square (8"x8"). I extended it 2 more inches (bottom only) to add the wording.

I stacked the pages to make sure everything fit right and carefully measured. The frame I purchased was 1" deep but it was 11"x14". I decided to add a border.

Take a close look at the border paper. You will see a small "snowflake" cut on each side about the center. Also note there are two different colors and paper patterns. Each sheet was only 8.5"x11" so I decided to use a red theme and green theme page that would overlap. I just cut away what I didn't need once the pages connected in the center. I allowed about an inch of overlap to allow the snowflake to show through.

Finally, once the border is in place you can build your 3D image using pop dot tape. Center the image in the border and your done. I added some fairy lights along the top and sqeezed the thin wire out the frame edge to allow the battery pack to be glued on the back. To make the wording "pop out" I cut a small strip of red cardstock, enough to cover the words then slid it between the 1st and second page.

This one sold before I completed it!

These settings worked for me on THIS project and the char around the edges was nearly non-existent. Please feel free to post settings you've used for success. I've been asked about other settings and my response is this, every design has different elements and these settings may not work for all paper art projects. It's trial and error. You have to cut and see what happens and adjust as needed.

Good luck! Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Thanks for your time in checking out my project. If you have any questions or comments, please share them, I would love to hear them.

Merry Christmas!
