Quick and easy project. Three hanging hearts with color changing insides.
Using the “Heart Suncatcher” XCS file, cut two each of three hearts. In the file, the largest and smallest hearts are nested.
Using whatever paint you want, paint one side of each heart.
Using the hearts as templates, cut three cellophane hearts (one of each size.) Cut the cellophane slightly smaller than each heart's OD. Then spread a thin layer of glue to the back of the corresponding size heart. Don't worry about ripples and wrinkles in the cellophane; they make interesting light patterns.
Apply a thin layer of glue to the back of the second heart. Make a wood, cellophane, wood sandwich, clip together and let dry. Repeat for other two size hearts.
After hearts are strung, hang in a sunny window.
