This works really well for a class pack of safety scissors or whatever other tools you need to help organize.
For the demo model I used two different types of 3 mm plywood to differentiate the pieces, but I recommend using the same type of wood for all sides for continuity. This project uses 2 12"x12" sheets of 3 mm material.
Once you have cut out all the pieces, lay them out on your work surface and apply glue to all the overlapping tabs on the insides of the pieces. Stand up two pieces that create one of the corners (one long side, one short side) and gently press the edges into place. Repeat with the opposite corner so that all four sides are upright and locked in place. Allow them to dry before adding the lid to avoid them popping back apart.
Once the sides are dry, apply glue to the top of the box in the same manner and set it into the cut outs from the sides. Press gently into place and hold with clamps or a weight then allow to dry. Enjoy!
