Wanting to display your business cards? I created this version so that it was fun (briefcase style) and practical - open top to help access and slide cards out. I use metal business cards for fun. You have a choice of an open or closed handle. Also, you can rest the open business card piece on the handle piece (see pictures).
Place the basswood in the machine on the baseplate. The settings are for 3 mm basswood (you will need to readjust if using other materials). Set the focus (select the ruler icon top right). Set the process area (I used square). Make sure that the pieces fit into the processing area. Adjust as needed. Feel free to add your name, title, etc if you want it on the outside.
Check the processing area by selecting framing (bottom right). Process (should take less than 10 minutes.)
Glue the two sections:
Base - the two side pieces and bottom with the non-engraved backpiece. Fit them together first, then glue.
Top - Glue the handle of your choice to the top. Then glue the engraved front piece and top.
I make sure there is no excess glue and put them together to ensure alignment when they dry.
Place your cards in. Close or prop on the top for easy access!
